DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Under the direction of the Director of Municipal Accounting, this
position is responsible for preparing accrual entries, reconciling
general ledger accounts, and preparing various financial reports
and analysis. You will also reconcile financial data at an employer
level for pension plans and ensure the accuracy and completeness of
data for the Year-End Activity Reports and the GASB 68 Reports for
each municipality. Work includes assisting in the preparation of
the Annual Budget, the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
(ACFR), and the GASB 68 Statement of Changes in Fiduciary Net
Position by Participating Municipality. Our team will rely on you
to analyze and research data to identify problems, resolve
discrepancies, and propose solutions. Help secure the future

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork
hours are 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute
lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home
(telework) part-time, up to two days per week after successful
completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must
have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work
from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to
telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters
office in Harrisburg.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may
be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year
as an Accountant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal
Government job title, as determined by the Office of
Administration); or Two years of professional accounting
experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university,
including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting.Four
years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in
accounting may be substituted for college graduation. A Master's
degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one
year of general work experience.
