and so much more! /n Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are
essential functions of this job): /n /n - /n Produce consistent
food products while following recipes with reduced supervision and
direction from the chefs, while maintaining quality standards. /n
/n - /n Exhibit an advanced knowledge, understanding, and
application of knife skills and cooking techniques. /n /n - /n
Identify and safely use all kitchen equipment. /n /n - /n Properly
label, date, and rotate all products to ensure safekeeping and
sanitation. /n /n - /n Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary
station/work area in accordance with Health Department/ServSafe
standards. /n /n - /n Assist, train, and direct culinary interns,
general cooks, and Cook IVs in daily tasks. /n /n - /n Able to work
all stations in designated shifts to include but not limited to
Garde Manger, A la Carte HotLine, Banquets, etc. /n /n - /n Perform
other job related duties as required, to include nightly food
requisitions from the butcher/storeroom and prep lists, etc. /n /n
/n /n Qualifications: /n /n - /n Must be 18 years of age or older.
/n /n - /n Minimum of 4 years culinary experience OR a degree or
certificate from a Culinary Institution plus 2 years culinary
experience. /n /n - /n Complete a mystery basket cooking test to
include 4 courses in 4 hours. /n /n - /n Complete a 25 question
written cooking exam, covering modern fundamentals and classic
cooking techniques with a score of 80%. /n /n - /n Post-employment:
Must obtain ServSafe Handler certification. /n /n /n /n Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities: /n /n - /n Proficient with a minimum of two
cuisines. Examples may include but are not limited to Asian,
Italian, Classical, New American, and Mexican. /n /n - /n Basic
understanding and knowledge of inventory control, requisitions, and
par levels. /n /n - /n Knowledgeable of kitchen equipment, good
knife skills, and possess a full tool kit. /n /n - /n Knowledgeable
of weights and measures, as well as basic math applications. /n /n
- /n Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. /n /n -
/n Possess a positive attitude with a professional appearance and
demeanor. /n /n /n /n Job Demands: /n While performing the duties
of this job, the employee is required to: /n /n - /n Reaching
Forward Constant (>67%) /n /n - /n Lifting Frequent (34-66%) (50
lbs maximum weight) /n /n - /n Reaching Overhead Occasional ( 67%)
/n /n - /n Hand/Eye Coordination Constant (>67%) /n /n - /n
Stooping Occasional ( 67%) /n /n - /n Walking Frequent (34-66%) /n
/n - /n Additional physical requirements include repetitive elbow
motions for chopping, repetitive write motions for stirring and
chopping. /n /n - /n Must have the ability of taste buds to
distinguish between and among flavors, spices, temperature, and
mouth feel (smoothness, pungency, etc.) of food and beverage. /n /n
- /n Must have ability of olfactory nerves to distinguish between
and among odors and scents as to their appeal and level of
intensity. /n /n - /n Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.
/n /n - /n This is a union position and the work schedule will be
based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled
requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend
