Apply today!WORK SCHEDULE:Monday through Friday8:30 am - 5:00 pmLunch Period: 1 HourDESCRIPTION OF WORKWe have an immediate opening for the Deputy Secretary for Workforce Development headquartered in Harrisburg, PA. This is a key senior management and policy development position. This position serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary of the Department of Labor & Industry for workforce development activities. Four bureaus are under the direct supervision of the position and include the Bureau of Workforce Development Administration, Bureau of Workforce Partnership and Operations, Apprenticeship and Training Office and Center for Workforce Information and Analysis. These bureaus are dedicated to the oversight, operational, and administrative support of federal and state workforce development activities emanating from the Department of Labor & Industry. These federal programs operate in PA CareerLink offices statewide and are proud partners of the American Job Center Network.In addition, this position targets state funded investments such as the Next Generation Industry Partnerships as well as other federal and state discretionary grant opportunities to meet the Governor's workforce goals and initiatives.If you enjoy challenging projects and interacting with individuals of all levels within different organizations, then this is the opportunity for you!
