Join the team at Hersheypark Camping Resort, campground located a few miles down the road from Hersheypark amusement park that features log and deluxe cabins, tent sites, and partial and full-hookup sites. This position is responsible for the cleaning of all areas of the Hersheypark Camping Resort, primarily focusing on bathhouses, cabins, and interior/exterior public spaces. Additionally, responsibilities may include light groundskeeping, responding to maintenance calls, filling propane, picking up trash, stocking firewood/ice, and cleaning fire pits. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Detailed cleaning of bathhouses, cabins, and interior/exterior public spaces* General maintenance to include plumbing, electrical, HVAC and sewer* Ability to operate cleaning equipment and chemicals* Picking up trash around cabins and sites* Cleaning fire pits* Stocking wood and ice for the retail store* Power washing* Painting* Filling propane* Provide guest site escort as needed by front desk team* Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age or older General knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning protocols General knowledge of basic maintenance skills Must have a valid Driver’s License Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to drive a golf cart and company vehicles as needed Organizational skills Attention to detail Positive, professional employee who can work as part of a team and be a self starter Ability to professionally interact with guests and answer questions Ability to handle multiple priorities at once Ability to understand instructions, both written and verbal Must be willing to clean bathhouses, cabins, and public spaces Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies Ability to operate equipment and machinery such as tractors, skid loaders and mowers Ability to operate hand held and small tools/power equipment Job Demands: Physical requirements include complete mobility and good physical conditioning, good hearing and vision, and ability to tolerate heat and adverse weather conditions Proper footwear must be provided by employee, uniform shirts will be supplied Must be able to push/pull/lift a maximum of 60 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, squat, climb ladders 90% of the shift. Ability to safely use chemicals in and around the workplace meeting OSHA standards Must be able to operate maintenance and grounds based equipment and machinery Workampers receive an hourly wage plus a Full Hook Up Site w/ 50 AMP electrical service, water, sewer, cable & WiFi, and other company perks.
