Location: Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), Monterey, CA
Type: Contract (Temporary, Summer Quarter 2025)
Period of Performance: July 1 September 30, 2025
Position Summary:
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Naval
Postgraduate School (NPS) is seeking a qualified contractor to
update, deliver, and manage the curriculum for EC2100: Circuit
Analysis during the Summer Quarter of the academic year 2025. This
is a temporary, on-site contract position based in Monterey,
California.
Course Overview:
EC2100 Circuit Analysis is a foundational course for Electrical
Engineering majors. Topics include:
Circuit principles and topology
DC circuits and operational amplifiers
Natural, forced, and total response
Impedance concepts
Laplace transforms in circuit analysis
Transfer functions
Prerequisites: PH1322 and MA2121 (may be taken concurrently)
Key Responsibilities:
Course Development (Pre-Delivery):
Update existing course materials including syllabus, readings,
lectures, homework, labs, quizzes, exams, and projects.
Incorporate Government Furnished Information (GFI) from previous
course iterations.
Align content with learning objectives and student
demographics.
Submit all content in editable electronic format and upload to NPS
systems.
Course Delivery (Summer Quarter 2025):
Course Delivery Period: Between July 7, 2025 and September 20,
2025
Academic quarter schedule will be provided to the contractor in
advance. Exact course day and time will be confirmed one week
before the course start date.
Deliver in-person lectures and labs at NPS in Monterey, CA.
Provide regular student assessments and mid-quarter progress
reports.
Monitor and support student performance through quizzes, exams, and
assignments.
Maintain a minimum of 3 hours of office hours per week (in-person
or virtual).
Record all class sessions using Government-provided tools.
Administer and grade a final comprehensive assessment (exam,
project, or paper).
Submit final grades and maintain a detailed course journal.
Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) to ensure
alignment of course objectives.
Notify TPOC of any unsatisfactory student performance or necessary
changes to GFI materials.
Respond to student inquiries within one business day.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and
Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related
field.
At least 10 years of experience in undergraduate-level course
development and instruction.
At least 10 years of relevant work experience in electrical circuit
design, analysis, and simulation.

Work Location:
Course development may occur remotely or on-site.
Course delivery must be conducted in person at NPS, Monterey,
CA.
Working Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM 4:30 PM (excluding federal
holidays)
