This is a site-based role, typically located in remote locations that can be subject to extremes of weather and temperature, and requires living away from home. This position will start in December/January. We encourage December graduates to apply.Specific Duties:Safety Accountabilities:

  • Lead by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working.
  • Accountable to promote safe behaviors and correct "at risk" behaviors.
  • Ensure Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's) occurs before scopes of work commence.
  • Follow and ensure all site team members understand standard operating procedures.
  • Support the site team in technical, quality and safety, using systems in place.Client Relationship Management Accountabilities:
    • Provide excellence in the delivery of the project, following our client's expectations.
    • Maintain client relationship.Planning:
      • Support the Project Engineer in budget and schedule preparation before commencement of the project.
      • Provide accurate daily construction activity data and quantities to the Project Engineer.
      • Perform quality checks to ensure that established processes are followed.
      • Work with the Project Engineer to resolve technical and engineering queries that arise from the field, including drafting/completing documents such as requests for information, technical enquiry forms, and transmittals.
      • Track staffing and equipment levels, and production quantities on a daily basis.
      • Report daily quantities to the Project Engineer for tracking purposes.
      • Ensure that labor, equipment, and materials are procured on time to support the project schedule and reports findings to Project Engineer.
      • Arrange for surveying and staking out workLeadership:
        • Communicate variances and changes to the Project Engineer.
        • Provide feedback to the Project Engineer to support continuous improvement.QA/QC:
          • Perform quality control checks and to ensure processes are implemented according to the quality plan and that all work is inspected.
          • Use the Safety Management System (SMS), the Quality Management System (QMS), the Environmental Management System (EMS), and technical procedures.Environment:
            • Provide the required documents, drawings and other forms to active projects for managing the EMS.
            • Support developing projects to complete all required permitting activities before commencement.
            • Ensure training is provided and certifications are maintained on field staff to comply with EMS requirements.Skills:

              • Job costing or accounting softwareQualifications:
                • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is eight years of relevant experience.
                • Must have a valid current driver license, eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.Physical requirements and environment:The work environment and physical demands characteristics are representative of those you encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.You will perform some sedentary office tasks in the construction site office, but your work also involves a significant amount of time working outside on the active construction site performing construction support activities. You may occasionally lift up-to 50 pounds and will be required to sit, stand, walk, climb, and use a computer.We maintain a drug-free workplace. You must pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug test as a condition of employment.Anticipated base salary range for role: $50,400 to $73,000The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
