us! Your day as a Stormwater Engineer As a Stormwater Engineer at
Ferguson Township, you will engage in essential civil engineering
work focused on stormwater management. Your role will involve
designing and reviewing innovative systems for managing surface
runoff and hydrology, hydraulics, and ensuring compliance with
environmental regulations. You will work on the design of
stormwater basins, best management practices (BMPs), pipes, and
various infrastructure projects aimed at effective erosion control
and floodplain management. A key aspect of this position is the
regular interaction with the public, allowing you to showcase the
importance of effective water resources management while addressing
community concerns. Your contributions will directly impact the
safety and sustainability of our local environment, making this an

you need to be successful Candidates for the Stormwater Engineer
position will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a
related field; four (4) years' minimum experience in civil
engineering and stormwater management; a solid foundation in
mathematic principles including algebra, calculus, and trigonometry
to perform engineering calculations using computer programs; and a
Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (PE) license. To excel in this
position, candidates should possess strong analytical skills, with
a solid understanding of hydrology and hydraulics principles.
Effective communication is essential, as you will be interacting
with the public and conveying complex technical information in an
accessible manner. A customer-centric approach is crucial to
address community needs while maintaining stormwater compliance and
environmental integrity. Problem-solving skills will enable you to
design and review innovative infrastructure solutions for managing
surface runoff and erosion control. Additionally, a keen attention
to detail will be necessary when evaluating stormwater designs,
