Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS), a leader in cloud computing
solutions, is seeking a highly skilled HV Substation Commissioning
Engineer to join our Amazon Commissioning Team. In this role, you
will be pivotal in the commissioning of high-voltage substations to
ensure effective and efficient power distribution that supports
various AWS infrastructures. This position demands a deep
understanding of electrical systems, performance testing, and
safety regulations associated with the power generation and
distribution industry. Oversee the installation and commissioning
of HV substations. Coordinate with project managers and other
engineers to ensure alignment with scope and technical
specifications. Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance
on all substation equipment. Conduct tests to ensure operational
efficiency and safety standards meet industry regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the
commissioning process. Maintain documentation pertaining to project
scope, design, specifications, and testing procedures. Provide
technical support and training to other engineering staff.
Proficiency in electrical engineering software (e.g., ETAP, SKM
Systems Analysis). Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical
systems and power distribution networks. Proficiency with
industry-standard test equipment and diagnostic tools. Excellent
communication and leadership abilities. Ability to interpret
complex technical specifications and engineering drawings. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Certified
Commissioning Professional (CCP) or equivalent.
