Salary Range : $80,000-$120,000 USD per year Advanced Technology

following full-time permanent position. Based in Maryland and

veteran status. PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful
applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as
a team member at our government client site, Naval Surface Warfare
Center Carderock Division, West Bethesda MD to perform finite
element modelling and analysis in the field of structural dynamics
and vibration as applied to Navy platforms. Duties include but not
limited to: Perform finite element modelling and analysis of Naval
systems and components Analyze and evaluate the acoustic behavior
of Navy vessels and test articles Design and evaluate acoustics
signature mitigation techniques Produce technical documents and
reports EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Bachelor of
Science in Mechanical Engineering Advanced degree preferred 2-3
years of finite element modelling experience desired SKILLS &
ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must have professional ability to
apply scientific methodology to engineering problems, and must be a
self-starter and willing to learn. We are looking for applicants
with a high level of technical/intellectual curiosity and the
ability to work independently. Understanding of structural dynamics
and vibration Understanding of acoustics signatures Ability to
perform finite element modelling and analysis Ability to write
automation scripting tools using MATLAB Familiar with finite
element analysis software such as Abaqus Familiar with finite
element mesh generation tools such as HyperMesh OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and
maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a
national security background investigation. Current successful
background investigation completion is a plus.
