Title: Director, CARE Centers Job no: 492641 Location: Harrisburg Campus Categories: Staff Salary: $49,508 - $63,123 Job Summary: The Director of HACC CARE Centers (Consultation, Advocacy, Referrals and Empowerment) provides strategic leadership, support, supervision and consultation to ensure access to resource support for students who are experiencing socio-economic distress that impacts their academic stability and success. Support includes, but is not limited to social, legal, financial and other related support services. The Director provides leadership and coordination of the CARE Centers and activities, ensuring effective outreach to students in need and referring qualified students to external service providers. This position serves as the point of contact for students and external service partners on issues related to HACC CARE Center and services. This position reports to: Executive Director, of Assessment and Strategy. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and 3 years related experience.Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Previous experience building a new initiative. Experience with community agencies and independent worker. Job Specific Task List: Ensure the creation and successful implementation of policies, procedures, and activities related to HACC CARE Centers, consistent with HACC---s overall missions and strategic plans; identify and resolve problems; ensure consistent application of rules and regulations, and handle complex and high-level complaints or issues consulting with other college leadership as necessary - (Essential) Direct the operations of HACC CARE Centers through a combination of direct service and program coordination; develop, implement, monitor, and review tactical and operational plans, procedures, systems and support in accordance with the College---s strategic goals, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. - (Essential) Lead collaboration with internal and external partners to identify resource support opportunities for HACC students: opportunities include but is not limited to health, food, and housing resources, as well as legal and financial services; manage the integration of CARE Center services with partnering service providers and ensure consistent follow-up with both participants and partnering agencies. - (Essential) Oversee CARE team: hire, orientate, train, supervise, motivate and evaluate staff consistent with HACC---s organizational and strategic goals. - (Essential) Plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based student care programming, initiatives and awareness campaigns; ensure the delivery of quality customer services to both internal and external constituents in a professional, helpful and courteous manner. - (Essential) Build and maintain effective partnerships with faculty, academic departments, advising department, and other related college offices, to address students--- need for non-academic resources; maintain and communicate most current information on available resources. - (Essential) Create college-wide awareness of students--- socio-economic issues and needs that impact student success, persistence, retention and completion; manage marketing and outreach strategies centered on student care promotion, including websites, print and social media. - (Essential) Develop and implement assessment and evaluation protocols for HACC CARE services and activities; create and implement regular systems of data collection, reporting and analysis, as well as using information to inform functions and improve service delivery. - (Essential) Provide to college leadership as needed, analysis and feedback on outcomes, policies and procedures regarding services for students and partnerships community organizations, including risk management. - (Essential) Ensure that the Centers--- budget is planned, prepared and monitored in keeping with the College strategic plans and objectives, as well as fiscal policies and procedures; monitor expenditures and donations for the best use of resources. - (Essential) Ensure Centers--- staff adherence to FERPA regulations, maintaining the security and confidentiality of all student records and other related college documents. - (Essential) Travel to all HACC locations regularly, conduct regular group and individual meetings with HACC CARE Centers staff, and consistently receive feedback from stakeholders to maximize the effectiveness of all HACC CARES Centers--- activities. - (Essential) Perform other duties as assigned. - (Standard) Job Type: Full Time 12 Month About Us: www.hacc.edu Our Purpose: Learning for all; learning for life.
