Position Summary: Set the strategic direction of the company and deliver against key strategic and operational goals by building a high-performing team and culture. Design the strategy for the company given the evolving OPM market and build the capabilities and team to deliver against the strategy. This will be a strong effort on bringing the right team together, ensuring the organization is set up to be successful from a design perspective and building a deep culture of agile, high quality execution at pace. The Managing Director will be fully accountable for the success of this global business unit by creating and executing on growth plans, managing the P&L, building relationships with key stakeholders with Academic Partners, inspiring staff and launching new programs successfully. We are seeking great candidates across various US locations. Key Responsibilities: Set and shape the strategy of the company based on consumer and customer insights to develop and build a winning plan. Design the optimum operating model to support the POLS business and lead a team of direct reports. Operating with agility you will be a talent spotter and culture carrier, working in an agile way within the POLS organization and more broadly across the wider enterprise. Gain key stakeholder buy in and execute at pace. Continuously adapt to our customers' unique needs in order to provide support and solutions that add value and enable Academic Partners to focus on achieving their mission. Actively support Academic Partners through listening, assessing, innovative problem solving and advocacy to enable clients to achieve their goals resulting in customer satisfaction. Ensure that all programs provide the appropriate support, assistance, and direction to all students that they need to achieve academically. Define and closely monitor all service metrics to ensure quality of service and positive outcomes. Regularly evaluate all services to ensure that we are delivering in the most efficient manner and in a manner that is consistent with our business model and customer promise. Leverage various technologies and system development to support customer-facing operations systems to address scale and growth needs. Support the creation and implementation of goals and short- and long-term planning and improvement to ensure continuous improvement across all product lines. Demonstrate successful execution of the company's strategies to achieve its financial and operational goals. Responsible for the day-to-day operating activities, including revenue growth, expense control, and margin control. Develop continuous improvement in key areas of profitable growth and utilize key performance indicators to drive and quantify cost optimization. Develop a culture of excellence, professionalism and service excellence in all areas of operations. Develop a KPI framework to support the evaluation and continuous improvement of all funnel activities and strategies to drive the greatest return on investment. Strengthen connections with external vendors, agencies, and third-party partners to improve access to consumer insights. Qualifications Proven track record of successful leadership (10 years); seen as someone who delivers results, leads by example. Significant experience of managing P&L's upwards of $350million. Proven experience of leading large teams c.500 . Deep understanding of marketing and enrollment. Ability to set strategic direction. Has led a large organization transformation and /or acquisitions initiatives, preferably a digital transformation and leading teams through this successfully. Must have extensive experience in and knowledge of the higher education online sector, coupled with deep focus on performance support and service quality. Proven capability to understand and meet requirements from both internal and external customers. Entrepreneurial, 'hands on' style who can delegate tasks and hold others accountable for delivery in a high growth environment. Proven experience leading and inspiring a high-performing team to support growth objectives. Understands the role that culture and building strong teams plays in company success. Strong consultative skills to establish relationships across the broader organization. Demonstrated capability in cross-functional leadership and experience working in a matrix environment. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, plus ability to clearly articulate and express ideas to a wide variety of people and groups at any level. Strong skills in strategic thinking and implementation, commercial acumen and negotiation. Ability to rally a large group of people towards key goals, strong verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, collaboration, conflict management, and consulting). Ability to diagnose and address opportunities to improve and drive positive change through the organization while effectively handling conflict. Passion for driving performance against goals while creating a positive, fun and productive environment. Demonstrated ability to formulate strategy and lead the implementation of operational initiatives to meet it. Strong organization, analytical, and motivating skills. Collaborative communication style, builds relationships with other departments not barriers. Personal Characteristics: A combination of personality traits-collaborative, honesty, integrity, intensity and passion-necessary to blend with the rest of the executive management team. Capable and mature with "fire in the belly" and a bias for action. Strong empathy, problem solving. Externally focused, intellectually curious thought leader and inventive problem solver. Education: BA/BS degree from accredited institution required. Master's degree preferred. Position is open to candidates in any US location. The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $300,000-350,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
