The Product Line Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic plan for a specific product within a global product portfolio. Initially, this Product Manager will focus on extensive market research efforts to determine significant innovation for the TeamMate product line. Taking the lead on Contextual Inquiry to inform the business and product strategy for TeamMate and transitioning into a more traditional Product Management role once new concepts are defined.This role will be directly responsible for the product lifecycle including: innovation, defining and implementing new products, product enhancements, ongoing product management.The Product Manager will be responsible for advocating for the customer and representing the customers voice throughout the organization while maintaining a close relationship with the market (customers, prospects, influencers) to stay connected with customer needs and perspectives. The role will include identification of opportunities, representative market personas, business requirements and business plans. Product Manager will be responsible for partnering with Product Operations to develop commercialization plans and go-to-market strategies.This position is a remote based position based anywhere in the US or Canada with a preference for the Eastern or Central times zonesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive all phases of Contextual Inquiry to uncover new, innovative product concepts to drive growth.
  • Create and maintain business case for current product lines as well as build/buy/partner decisions. This includes performing objective analysis of a potential market opportunity and risks to provide a basis for investment.
  • Drive the products strategic roadmap with short, medium and long-term growth and retention opportunities
  • Develop comprehensive business requirements documents for all product development. Work closely with Product Owners to create and execute technical specifications.
  • Develop expertise of relevant market segments, market problems, customer workflows, competitive environment and industry trends.
  • Documents and solutions market problems (both existing customers and future customers).
  • Work with Product Operations to ensure successful commercialization of products and enhancements.
  • Work with Marketing to ensure appropriate messaging, targeting and positioning for all releases, marketing vehicles, events and new products.
  • Work with other product management staff to collaborate on new solution development and assure consistency across product lines.
  • Ensure plans for Operational, Sales and Product readiness are clear and met
  • Spend time in the field with customers. Understand their business and their needs as fodder for innovative solutions. Champion customer intimacy initiatives.OTHER DUTIESPerforms other duties as assigned by supervisor.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelors Degree or equivalent required. Marketing or business-related degree preferred Advanced degree preferredExperience: Requires 5-10 years of product management or marketing experience. Working experience in Audit or other business-to-business software supporting regulated industries preferred.Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: (First list requirements, followed by preferences.)
    • Commercial and solution oriented mind-set.
    • Demonstrated success in B2B product management and/or marketing across multiple customer segments required
    • Demonstrated ability to create and execute annual business and product plans
    • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including preparing and presenting complex information to senior management and large groups
    • Advanced interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work and lead cross-functionally and develop strong relationships with internal and external constituents
