full array of benefits.Primary Functions:1) Manage the College's
Precision Machining (PM), Computer-Aided Design (CAD),
Computer-Aided Machining (CAM), and Computer Numerical Control
(CNC) technologies educational and training programs; instruct in
key areas of PM, CAD, CAM, and CNC manufacturing training as
required; develop and enhance the PM, CAD, CAM, and CNC
manufacturing technologies educational and training
programs.Responsibilities: Work with the Associate Dean of
Automotive, Industry and Manufacturing, College staff, adjunct
faculty, and community representatives to: (1) develop course
curricula and assessment tools for Specialized Diploma, Certificate
& AAS degree programs; work with the appropriate advisory board to
develop or modify public course offerings; modularize, organize,
disseminate & manage all the PM, CAD, CAM, and CNC technologies
equipment, systems, training and assessment information; (2) ensure
delivery and quality of instruction for PM, CAD, CAM, and CNC
technologies-related courses: supervise and mentor adjunct
instructors in all matters related to credit and non-credit
courses; seek out, interview and train qualified adjunct staff for
PM, CAD, CAM, and CNC technologies instructors, evaluate adjunct
performance in class, review student evaluations, and take
appropriate action for improvement and ensure that training
materials are prepared and available to and used by the adjunct
instructors; (3) Instruct PM, CAD, CAM, and CNC technologies
courses on or off campus as needed equating to a teaching load of
less than 12 credits per semester; (4) Manage and, with the
assistance of lab technicians, construct, purchase and maintain all
materials and lab equipment: upon approval, design and oversee the
construction of lab apparatus and facility changes; maintain
existing equipment and apparatus; transfer, set up and tear down
equipment for off-site locations as needed; (5) Assist the
Associate Dean of Automotive, Industry and Manufacturing in the
credit and non-credit sections of the College in marketing their
programs: visit potential industrial customers to disseminate
information about both non-credit and credit programs; assist in
developing content for marketing pieces such as flyers and web
pages; participate in promotional events such as trade shows and
career fairs; (6) Assist in advising credit and non-credit
students: participate in the annual student orientations; advise
potential students on career and programs; advise matriculating
students in course selection; (7) Carry out other related duties as
assigned through the Associate Dean of Automotive, Industry and
Manufacturing.Organizational Relationships: Supervised by and
reports to the Associate Dean of Automotive, Industry and
Manufacturing. (1) Supervises support staff; (2) Coordinates
efforts with the administrative, instructional, and support teams
in developing and delivering courses, programs, and services; (3)
Connects role to the College's mission and goals.Performance
Standards: Performance in this role is deemed satisfactory when:
(1) Mutually agreed upon objectives are achieved within a specified
timeframe. (2) The responsibilities of the position are performed
at a level that aligns with performance objectives. (3) Effective
collaborative relationships are maintained with other
administrative team members.Qualifications: (1) Education: A
minimum of an Associate degree in a related Precision Machining
technology field from a regionally accredited institution (or
higher) or a focus on Technology or Engineering is strongly
preferred. (2) Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: (a) Working knowledge
of program and curriculum development, along with an understanding
of job skills requirements and assessment practices. Proficiency in
industry-related PM, CAD, CAM, and CNC technologies; (b) Ability to
function effectively as a member of administrative and
instructional teams while working effectively with diverse
populations, including students, faculty, administrators, and
community representatives; (c) Excellent interpersonal and verbal
communication skills. (3) Experience: The successful candidate will
have 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience with various PM, CAD,
CAM, and CNC technologies, along with 5+ years of experience in a
training capacity (preferably with PM, CAD, CAM, and CNC technology

operation, and maintenance of CNC machines, specifically, HAAS
machines* Experience with various precision machining equipment,
including drill presses, milling machines,and lathes.* Strong
understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision
measuring tools.* Utilizing advanced tooling and machining
processes.* Experience with CAD and CAM software, including CAM,
Autodesk Inventor, and Mastercam.* Understanding speeds and feeds
for machining various metals.* Understanding of CNC lathe and
milling machine operation and G-code programming.* Experience in
the operation and use of manual lathes and vertical milling
machines.* Programming, configuring, and operating CNC machine
tools.* Operating multi-axis machinery.* Interpreting and producing
technical blueprints, models, and specifications.* Background on
adult learning theory and methodologies.* Exposure to the
principles and methods of competency-based education.* Solid
foundation in 2D concepts and 3D modeling processes.* Knowledge of
additive, subtractive, and formative manufacturing processes.*

Experience in preparing students for the National Institute for
Metalworking Skills testing andCertificationsOptional Technical
Requirements* Maintain and update the department's tools and
material inventory.* Accountable for meeting all administrative

shop facilities.* Oversee the hiring, scheduling, and development
process for the program adjuncts.* Stay informed about the latest
industry standards, work safety protocols, and advancements inCNC
