Job Description:
The Product Manager is the primary relationship manager and
voice of the Investment Teams for the Global Private Equity (GPE)
segment regarding deal valuation technology. This person will
translate the needs of over 400 investment professionals and
supporting functions across GPE into technical requirements to
enhance efficiency and support the deal valuation process.This
Product Manager will oversee the following product:
- Technology supporting the valuation model and processThe
Product Manager will segment leadership to develop and maintain
product roadmaps and backlogs aligned with the firm's strategic
goals. They will collaborate with external vendors like Chronograph
to ensure accountability and will play a key role in the agile team
by managing prioritized backlog items based on strategic
objectives. This role is essential within the Agile Operating model
and requires full-time commitment to the outlined
responsibilities.Responsibilities
- Product Development (60%)
- Engage with stakeholders throughout the valuation process to
understand roles, responsibilities, and workflows.
- Maximize the value of delivered products to meet stakeholder
needs.
- Define the product vision and prioritize features/stories based
on business value.
- Understand end-to-end value streams within the team, domain,
and focus area.
- Break down capabilities into backlog items and prioritize
them.
- Collaborate with the agile team to estimate work and plan the
quarterly roadmap.
- Work with the Scrum Master to monitor team dynamics and
capacity.
- Prepare materials for monthly domain meetings.
- Define and track KPIs with the Domain Lead and Executive
Sponsor.
- Provide monthly updates on releases to leadership.
- End User Adoption (20%)
- Represent stakeholder and end-user interests.
- Communicate regularly with end users.
- Provide training and translate user needs into business
requirements.
- Technical Analysis, Testing, and Support (20%)
- Collaborate with technical leads to understand technical debt
and impediments.
- Identify and escalate risks related to capacity, resources, and
deliverables.
- Manage vendor relationships with GTS
partners.QualificationsEducation & CertificatesProfessional
Experience
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years in an Agile environment (preferred).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with private equity/asset management, value streams,
and relevant technology.
- Ability to translate strategic and business objectives into
goals.
- Experience in writing user stories and working with technical
teams.
- Proven success in managing high-impact initiatives and
cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building
skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial models) and
PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform user testing and understand SQL; VBA
knowledge is a plus.The role offers a salary range of $165,000 to
$185,000, specific to Washington, DC, along with comprehensive
benefits and potential participation in an annual discretionary
