Associate Director, Field Reimbursement Management (FRM) - Pennsylvania

Position Overview

The Associate Director, Field Reimbursement Management (FRM) will be a field-based role focused on educating healthcare providers and their staff on ways to help patients access the Alkermes medicines they have been prescribed. Reporting to a Sr. Director, Field Reimbursement Management, the FRM will be responsible for educating healthcare providers and their staff on product acquisition options, patient access and reimbursement services, and transition of care.



Key Responsibilities

* Educate healthcare providers and their staff in treatment centers, hospitals and criminal justice settings on product coverage, product acquisition options (direct-to-pharmacy, buy and bill, retail, etc.), transition of care and services

* Understand, anticipate, and address questions and issues specific to services, product access, and transition of care

* Develop deep market access expertise in assigned geography and maintain knowledge of payer trends

* Facilitate communication between the healthcare provider and his/her staff with Alkermes Product Support Services personnel (e.g., Case Managers, Nurse Coordinators, etc.)

* Coordinate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to improve product access and transition of care

* Ensure all account activity is accurately reflected in company databases

* Conducts all activities in accordance with Alkermes compliance policies and procedures



Basic Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

* 10+ years of sales, marketing, or management experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or medical device

* 2+ years of reimbursement and access or related experience

* Demonstrated knowledge of local payer, reimbursement and access and provider landscape. Strong understanding of insurance and benefit design with both commercial and government payers

* Demonstrated experience with addressing product access, reimbursement and/or transition of care issues

* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint



Preferred Requirements

* Experience with specialty pharmaceuticals preferred

* Experience working with medical-benefit plans preferred

* Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building experience

* Field account management skills and experience

* Live within the defined geography



Travel Requirements

* 50% travel; Must hold a valid US drivers license
