DESCRIPTION OF WORK The incumbent is responsible for professional, administrative level work in the development, implementation, coordination and review of assigned components of the comprehensive safety management, hazardous materials, environmental protection, and Emergency Response and Recovery programs for the Department of Human Services (DHS). This position travels frequently with the opportunity to meet new people while engaging in environmental consultation work in order to provide a safe working environment. This position will also serve individuals in need during and after a disaster, both in the disaster field as well as the Commonwealth Coordination center at the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
