Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Harrisburg Internal
Medicine
Shift: Monday to Friday, various shifts between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
One day bi-weekly (2x a month only) until 7 p.m.
Summary of Department/Service Line: UPMC's Internal Medicine Union
Deposit provides internal medicine and primary care medical
services to those in the Harrisburg area. As a part of the trusted
UPMC name, our board-certified doctors are devoted to helping serve
patients unique medical needs.

UPMC's Internal Medicine Union Deposit in Harrisburg is looking to
add a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to their team. This office has
seven providers in the office daily. The office has upbeat and
friendly staff who work together as a team. As an LPN in our
office, you will get to do nurse visits in addition to other
responsibilities. The LPN will provide professional nursing care to
office patients under supervision of patient care providers.
Hours: Monday to Friday, various shifts between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(40 hours a week). Required to work one evening until 7 p.m.
bi-weekly.
Office Hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m.
to 4:45 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 4:45
p.m.
Responsibilities:
Room patients and assess patient's general condition, take vital
signs and weight
Perform venipuncture
Perform EKGs and Spirometry
Perform Medicare Wellness visits and work to improve Health
Maintenance Quality Scores
Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e.,
OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health)
Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM when needed
Comply with all policies and procedures
Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and
other data
Promote wellness by providing patient education materials,
communicating physician advice/instructions.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing
One year of clinical experience preferred, but not required
New LPN graduates are welcome to apply
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic
and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Clearances must be dated within 90 days.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
