THE POSITION
The Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) assists
Pennsylvanians with disabilities to gain the skills necessary to
live and work independently in their communities.
We are seeking a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with a
comprehensive understanding of vocational rehabilitation services
to apply that knowledge in assisting individuals with disabilities
to obtain gainful employment.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, you will develop and
maintain referral sources to ensure potential vocational
rehabilitation customers are identified for services. You will also
have the rewarding opportunity to determine and coordinate the
delivery of vocational rehabilitation services to customers.
Individualized attention to detail is vital, as you will be
responsible for creating appropriate vocational goals for each
individual, providing counseling and guidance services, and
assisting with job placement for each customer.
