Our office, Susquehanna Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, is seeking
a talented surgical assistant to join our busy specialty
practice.We are looking for a talented and skilled Surgical
Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of
our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for

ResponsibilitiesYou will ensure excellent patient service and lift
administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist's shoulders.
You will be focused on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns,
and questions are answered. You will help keep the patient relaxed
and comfortable during their visit, being the patients go to
resource during their visit which includes the following:Prepare
the surgical area, instruments, and equipment before each
procedure.Assist the surgeon during procedures by anticipating the
surgeon's needs and assisting as required.Keep surgical areas and
instruments clean and sterilized.Monitor and record patient vitals
and ensure patient comfort and safety.Prepare and provide
post-operative instructions and materials to patients.Help maintain
inventory and order supplies as needed.Perform other duties as
assigned by the surgeon or office manager.Ability to work full-time
from 7:00am-3:00pm.As one of the essential members of our office,
you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office
responsibilities as needed.Your BackgroundYou are a resourceful

also have the following:At least 1-2 years of experience as
surgical assistant, specialty is preferredX-Ray certified
requiredKnowledge of dental instruments and sterilization
methodsUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsAbility to
perform regulated non-surgical tasksGood computer skillsExcellent
communication and people skillsA strong attention to
detailWell-organized and reliableA high school diplomaA certificate
from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by
law)An active state radiology license (if required by law)If this
