• Certification Details
• Candidates must have Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • Job Details
  • The Certified Surgical Technologist is a member of the Surgical Team in the Surgical Suite who works with the Surgeon, Anesthesiologist, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care before, during, and after surgery.
  • Essential Functions and Responsibilities include utilization of appropriate physician preference cards, preparing room supplies, assisting with moving and positioning patients, maintaining aseptic technique, performing correct counts according to policies, and assisting with instrument maintenance.
  • Responsible for delivering care to covid patients, and may be required to float if necessary.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have robotics experience.
    • Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) as Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) is required.
    • A minimum of 2 years experience in multi specialties is required.
    • BLS Certification is required.
    • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as of a specified date, or must be approved for a medical/religious exemption.
      • Schedule Information
      • The shift consists of 4x10 hour shifts from 0700-1730.
      • On-call is required for 4-6 calls within a 6-week schedule with a 30-min response time.
      • 4-6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule may be scheduled during day, evening, or night shift hours.
      • Holidays work as per department needs.

        • This is a nicotine-free facility.
        • WellSpan will not consider candidates that have had a license suspended at any time in the past.
        • All time off and/or scheduling requests must be included in the submission.
        • Candidates cannot be submitted if they have been employed as a perm hire at any WellSpan site within the last year.
        • WellSpan requires the flu vaccine from September 7 - April 30.
