Nursing Services Provider
Seeking a registered nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a provider's office, serving patients across various age groups.

Job Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for clinical staff, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  
• Provides clinical advice by phone or electronic correspondence, consulting with providers as necessary.
  
• Delivers patient-specific education on preventive care, chronic disease management, acute diagnoses, medications, and other relevant topics.
  
• Greets patients, prepares them for visits, and verifies patient information, accurately documenting medical and social history.
  
• Measures vital signs, reviews and updates medication lists, and administers injections and medications as prescribed.
  
• Assists providers with procedures, minor surgeries, and exams, implements standing orders, and performs various tests.
  
• Collects laboratory specimens, authorizes prescription refills, and assists with test tracking and monitoring.
  
• Removes sutures, changes dressings, and maintains exam rooms and medical instruments.
  
• Assesses patient progress, follows up with patients, and participates in performance improvement initiatives.
  
• Serves as a patient experience advocate, communicating with patients, visitors, and colleagues in a professional manner.
  
• Handles patient information confidentially, adhering to Lancaster General Health's privacy and confidentiality policies.
  
  
  Secondary Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Provides input into performance evaluations for clinical staff, as requested by practice management.
    
  • Participates in on-call responsibilities and other duties assigned by management.
    
    
    Qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
      
    • Two to three years of nursing experience in a primary or specialty care physician's office.
      
    • AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
      
      
      Preferred Qualifications:
      
      • 
        
      • Previous lead or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
