Information $2,266 per week About The Position Job Title: Endoscopy
Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Perioperative Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 16:30)
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience
in a perioperative or endoscopy setting Description: Assesses and
responds to the individual physical, psychosocial, and spiritual
needs of the patient through personal observation and interaction.
Acts as a patient advocate. Utilizes professional nursing skills
and judgment. Takes action to implement nursing care and treat the
problems identified. Communicates patient assessments to the
appropriate individuals ensuring the coordination of patient care.
Demonstrates knowledge of diagnostic measures such as labs,
radiology, and EKG. Demonstrates skills in IV therapy. Transcribes
and implements physicians' orders accurately and in a timely manner
while efficiently admitting patients. Documents in the patient
clinical records via computer with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Checks the required information on the patient record to comply
with the correct surgical procedures. Completes final review of
patient records to ensure all paperwork and activities are
complete. Ensures that anesthesiologist has spoken to the patient
and family. Provides appropriate and knowledgeable instruction and
education to patients and their families. Decrements supplies
according to policy. Utilizes supplies, equipment, and resources to
contain costs without compromising patient care. Assists with
housekeeping duties such as cleaning and making beds as needed for
patients. Uses knowledge and critical thinking to assess and give
appropriate nursing care. Recognizes patients' needs; maintains
airway, monitors vital signs, and utilizes correct medication to
control pain. Consults with the surgeon and anesthesiologist if any
difficulties arise that affect the patient. Evaluates patient's
status using discharge criteria. When functioning as a float nurse,
maintains communication between all areas and is available to
assist staff as needed to maintain flow. Relieves staff for breaks
and lunch in a timely manner. Utilizes staff in a cost-effective
