Gross: $2,154.00 Per Week On W2(Taxable): $684.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,470.00 Per Week Job Summary: The Operating
Room (OR) Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality
perioperative nursing care by performing scrubbing and circulating
duties during operative procedures. The nurse prepares the
operating room, coordinates with the surgical team, and ensures
aseptic technique is followed. This role serves as a communication
liaison between patients, families, and surgical staff, supporting
a safe and efficient surgical environment. Key Responsibilities:
Perform scrubbing and/or circulating duties during operative
procedures. Prepare the operating room for surgery, ensuring all
equipment, supplies, and implants are available and functional.
Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to departmental and hospital
policies and procedures. Collaborate with the surgical team to
assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care.
Facilitate communication between patients, families, and surgical
team members. Assist with admissions to the operative suite and
patient positioning. Requirements: Valid current license to
practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia or
relevant state. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the
Operating Room (OR). Certification in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life
Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required. Graduate of an accredited
or NLN-approved RN program – Required. Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) – Highly Desired. Must reside at least 100 miles away
