Med/Surg RN Job Details – Harrisburg, PA - Location: Harrisburg, PA 17101 – Explore riverfront parks, a thriving arts scene, and historic sites in this welcoming Pennsylvania community. - Assignment Length: 13 weeks - Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Shift: 12-hour day shifts - Hours per Week: 36 - Shifts per Week: 3 - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,840 - Number of Openings: 3 - Start Date: November 17, 2025 Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Pennsylvania or compact state - BLS Certification (required prior to first shift) - ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift) - Minimum 2 years of recent bedside clinical experience in a Med/Surg or ICU setting - ICU experience required - Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills - Ability to supervise and mentor LPNs, CNAs, and orientees Med/Surg RN Responsibilities - Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission - Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams - Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record - Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and deliver direct patient care using the nursing process - Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission - Communicate changes in patient status to care team members to ensure continuity and safety - Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary nursing personnel, including LPNs and CNAs - Promote a safe environment by adhering to hospital safety policies and procedures - Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities - Maintain professional growth through continuing education and self-study Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
