Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/22/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with Level I or II trauma experience and proficiency in robotic surgery for a travel assignment. Responsibilities - Position based in a hospital Operating Room setting - Day shift with 4x10 hour shifts, from 7:00 to 17:30 - Floating to other areas may be required as needed - Required to take 4-6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule with a 30-minute response time - Must work 4-6 weekend shifts within each 6-week period, which may include days, evenings, or nights - Holiday coverage required for major holidays, with expectation to work 2 of 3 major holidays - Robotic procedures utilize Davinci xi and DV5 systems - Epic EMR experience is heavily preferred - Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for a wide range of surgical specialties, with a focus on robotic-assisted procedures - Must be able to care for COVID-positive patients if needed - Teamwork with various surgical specialties is essential - Pre-assignment modules must be completed prior to start - Candidate will be pre-screened clinically before final interview - Facility is tobacco and fragrance-free - Local candidates within 50 miles will be considered at a lower pay rate - Expected attire is hospital-approved scrubs Requirements - Active PA or Compact RN license with no license hits - Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room RN experience - Previous Level I trauma experience required; Level II trauma accepted with more than 1 year experience - Prior travel nurse experience required - Experience functioning independently in robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac), and trauma specialties - Proficient in both circulating and scrubbing roles, with robotic surgery experience in general, GYN, thoracic, and urology procedures - Familiarity with Davinci xi robot required; DV5 experience considered a bonus - AHA or ARC BLS certification required - Epic charting experience preferred - Must meet facility’s health and compliance requirements, including a tobacco and fragrance-free policy - RTO (Requested Time Off) limited to 7 days per contract Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628975.
