Responsibilities: - Responds promptly and efficiently to all
requests for service. - Maintains clean patient environment as well
as crew quarters - Participates in shift report from off going crew
- Ensures crew is logged onto computer duty roster - Performs daily
equipment check (vehicle, medications) - Performs all assigned
duties, including daily, weekly, monthly, or other duties assigned
by the base site manager. - Participates constructively in the
peer-review driven quality improvement program. - Documents
appropriate assessment, interventions, and other pertinent patient
information in a timely manner. - Collects and promptly processes
demographic, medical necessity, and other necessary billing
information. - Actively participates in the development and
training of new staff. - Ensures patient and family confidentiality
and dignity at all times. - Provide advanced life support to
critically ill or injured patients in adherence with established
protocols and standards of care; assessing online medical command
or other resources when appropriate. - Participates in developing
and completing research projects. - Demonstrates competency related
to pharmacological interventions. - Demonstrates skills,
competencies, and judgment necessary to provide patient care in any
environment; using educational resources that are required or made
available. - Builds and mends relationships among colleagues within
the framework of a healthy workplace. - Identifies opportunities
for clinical quality as well as workplace improvement. - Serves as
a role model for professional paramedic practice. - Ensures safe
operation of patient laden stretcher employing appropriate
stretcher discipline at all times. - Maintains safe loading,
unloading, adjustment of head of stretcher, and stretcher movement.
- Completes all official documentation in a timely manner such as
payroll, expense reports, orientation forms, etc. - Adheres to
rules for scheduling, including schedule requests, minimum time,
and availability. Utilizes appropriate safety channels to report
safety concerns and uses tools available to enhance a safe work
environment. - Reflects a positive attitude to the customer in a
high stress environment at all times, with a clear understanding of
who the customer is. - Demonstrates the ability to establish a
rapport with customers; including the ability to create and sustain
a positive relationship; regardless of circumstances, environment,
or patient presentation. - Participates in scheduled and
unscheduled outreach activities, representing the UPMC and STAT
MedEvac system. - Maintains fitness for duty (if qualified as a
flight crew member) by adhering to all employee health
requirements, including maximum weight, hearing conservation
program, and required medical screenings. - Selects and uses
personal protective equipment appropriate to the level of the
anticipated hazard. - Reports for work well rested and fit for
duty. - Adhering to the drug and alcohol policy at all times.

Builds and mends relationships among colleagues within the
framework of a healthy workplace. Professional CCG Paramedic - High
School Diploma or equilalent - 3 years clinical experience in
critical care and/or emergency department required. - Must be
eligible to receive medical command authorization by the Medical
Director, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel to
any base site as assigned. - Must be able to successfully complete
the prescribed orientation program, including classroom, clinical
rotations, educational competencies, and on the job training. -
Must work productively and effectively within a complex
environment, handle multiple/changing priorities, and specialized
equipment Sr. Professional CCG Paramedic II - High school Diploma
or equivalent - Three years clinical experience with a busy
advanced life support or critical care ambulance service or
critical care experience in a hospital setting. - Bachelor's Degree
in Emergency Medicine (or related field) and one professional
contribution selected from department, hospital or system goals,
and approved by your Manager OR one contribution and completion of
an approved annual project. - Must obtain a Solid/Strong/Good or
higher on performance evaluation to be promoted to this level. -
Must maintain a Solid/Strong/Good or higher on annual performance
evaluation to maintain status. - Special Skills and Abilities
Required - Must be eligible to receive medical command
authorization by the Medical Director, have reliable

or station base site as assigned. - Must be able to successfully
