Job Overview This role involves providing direct patient care in all facets of respiratory therapy, following the directives of physicians. You will collaborate with doctors to assess the effectiveness of treatments and serve as a knowledgeable resource for both medical staff and nursing teams regarding respiratory care. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed. Consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions. Serve as an advanced resource for medical and nursing staff on respiratory care matters. Carry out additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education: Completion of a CoArc accredited Respiratory Care program. Licensure: Must meet state licensing criteria and possess a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Experience: No prior experience required. Certifications: Must hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). PALS certification is required for those working in the Emergency Room. Physical Requirements: Capable of pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, with minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Equipment: Proficient in using all relevant respiratory care equipment. Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Experience: Experience in critical care settings is advantageous.
