registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience

be considered. A rewarding opportunity is available for a
Registered Nurse skilled in Stepdown care, offering a dynamic role
within a mixed-acuity unit that includes Progressive Care Unit
(PCU) and MedSurg patients. This contract position provides a
chance to utilize your clinical expertise in caring for patients
with cardiovascular and thoracic surgical needs, among other
complex conditions. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing
care across PCU and MedSurg settings, managing a patient ratio of
1:5. Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery care,
and transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/replacement
(TAVI/TAVR). Perform arterial line management, blood product
administration, central and PICC line care. Titrate cardiac and
vasoactive drips, care for ventilated patients including ventilator
management. Assist with specialized procedures such as intra-aortic
balloon pump management, ventricular assist devices
(LVAD/RVAD/Impella), and sheath removal. Support the care of
patients with diverse diagnoses including cardiovascular surgery,
thoracic surgery, oncology, and endocrine disorders. Collaborate
within a team environment, potentially floating within scope to
meet unit demands. Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least
18 months of experience; first-time contract nurses are welcome.
Current BCLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification
preferred. Ability to obtain Indiana, Compact, or temporary license
prior to starting. Comfortable with weekend work every other
weekend and work on 2 of 3 major holidays. Experience in
cardiovascular and thoracic critical care preferred. Previous
charge nurse experience is an asset. Schedule/Hours: Night shift:
3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) Options include 3x12, 4x12,
or 8-10 hour shifts guaranteeing 36 to 48 hours per workweek.

Additional Information: Free parking provided. Uniform consists of
black bottoms with a red scrub top. Electronic charting using
Cerner system. Facility is a short-term acute care hospital with
210 staffed beds. All patient rooms are private and equipped with
overhead lifts. This is a contract role with flexibility to discuss
