ChristianaCare, a leading non-profit health system focused on health services in Delaware, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Center for Rehabilitation at Wilmington Hospital on a per diem basis. This role is essential in helping patients reach their fullest potential of functional independence through personalized therapeutic interventions. Our rehabilitation center fosters a collaborative environment where quality of care and advanced treatment methods are paramount. Evaluate patients' functional status and occupational therapy needs, setting objectives and goals accordingly. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating patient feedback and latest therapy techniques. Implement therapeutic occupational interventions to enhance patient skills for daily living and working. Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic processes and home exercises. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and regulations. Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and methods. Ability to assess patient needs and develop creative therapeutic programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Skills in patient documentation and proficiency with healthcare IT systems.
