Radiation Therapist Location: State College, PA Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $1,920 to $2,080 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $48.00 - $52.00/Hourly. Summary: We are looking to employ a dedicated and skilled X-ray technician to take quality x-rays of patients’ bones, soft tissues, or organs as instructed by patients' physicians. The X-ray technician's responsibilities include monitoring radiology supplies, attending mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, and ensuring that the x-ray machines are set at the correct radiation levels. Responsibilities: Checks diagnosis, prescription, chart and patient identification. Explains planned treatment to patient including means of communication during treatment and procedure to follow if problems arise during treatment. Prepares room and equipment, according to prescription, including immobilization devices, field size, treatment distance, etc. Observes radiation safety measures for patients and personnel. Maintains visual audible communications with the patient during treatment. Operates and performs CT simulation procedures/equipment in an effective manner. Performs daily duties in an accurate and timely fashion. Requirements Requirements: Graduate of an approved school of Radiation Therapy, BLS Certification, ARRT (T) Certification.
