Radiology Tech Location: State College, PA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,052 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening shift; every 3rd weekend Hours per Shift: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a specialized training program in Radiological Technology approved by the ARRT. Description: Prepare patients for examinations and respond to their questions. Perform diagnostic procedures for patients as ordered by physicians. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Knowledge of radiologic equipment and safety hazards common to radiology. Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems. Perform patient care and technical duties accurately and timely. Greet each patient in a pleasant manner. Review requests and evaluate orders for appropriate exams. Check for two identifiers: Name and Date of Birth. Explain procedures in terms patients can understand. Prepare and position patients for examinations. Take correct views for examinations. Operate CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms safely and efficiently. Perform proper start-up and shutdown of equipment. Transfer images to PACS and route documents. Change priority to STAT or URGENT when necessary. Assist the Radiologist or Fluoro Tech during special procedure examinations. Move portable radiographic equipment for various procedures. Use proper sterile technique during examinations. Prepare IV and Oral contrast media and administer as needed. Document patient symptoms, history, and imaging limitations in PACS. Maintain clean and orderly work areas. Demonstrate appropriate radiation safety practices. Escort patients throughout the department. Provide excellent customer service to all contacts. Perform clerical duties efficiently and accurately. Monitor workflow processes utilizing PACS and assist in office functions as needed. Comply with and perform quality assurance duties as assigned. Explain policies and procedures to radiology students as directed. Perform related and miscellaneous duties as assigned. Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
