Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years MS Oncology RN
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This contract nursing
opportunity is ideal for RNs with Med Surg or MS Oncology
experience seeking to provide quality care in a 48-bed medical
center in New Cumberland, WV. The unit focuses on patients with
common conditions such as pneumonia, urinary tract infections,
altered mental status, gastrointestinal bleeds, alcohol withdrawal,
and weakness or falls. Key Qualifications: Current RN license with
at least one year of clinical experience BLS certification required
Oncology experience a plus; Med Surg experience acceptable Ability
to titrate heparin, bumex, lasix drips (no cardiac drip titration
required) Open to first-time travel nurses PCT class optional or
CNA credential to support patient care tech duties
Responsibilities: Monitor and record vital signs, blood glucose,
and EKGs; apply heart monitors Assist with activities of daily
living including bathing, feeding, toileting, turning, and
positioning Collaborate with respiratory therapists who manage
breathing treatments and respiratory equipment Float to other med
surg, telemetry, or intermediate care units as needed Work
alongside a charge nurse and patient care techs; typical
nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:5-7 on days and 1:6-8 on
nights Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, weekends scheduled Every
other weekend and holiday rotation may apply No self-scheduling;
schedule coordinated by the manager with flexibility around
requests Additional Details: Scrub colors: Navy blue for RNs
Orientation includes one day with educator/computer systems and one
day with a preceptor Telemetry monitored by techs; RNs are not
required to interpret strips 50-mile radius ban for local hires
