Job Description Join our team at the Houlihan’s Restaurant Bar, modern American restaurant and bar located in the Hershey Press Building where you will utilize scratch methods by using real, whole ingredients to create dishes in our open kitchen. /n Responsible for preparing all food items according to prep sheets and standardized recipes with speed and consistency of quality. /n As a Part-Time Team Member, you will enjoy sweet perks like FREE admission and parking to Hersheypark, discounts on food & shopping, and more as soon as you receive your Employee ID! /n Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): /n /n - /n Preparing, cooking, plating, garnishing food, and following par sheets and recipes /n /n - /n Maintaining communication with expos, chefs and front of house staff to ensure timely service to the guests /n /n - /n Using safe food handling procedures /n /n - /n Assisting with training /n /n - /n Minimizing waste /n /n - /n Ensuring that all work areas remain clean and organized /n /n - /n Ensuring that all food products are stored properly /n /n - /n Performing other duties as assigned /n /n /n Qualifications: /n /n - /n Must be at least 16 years of age or older /n /n /n Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: /n /n - /n Average to above knife skills /n /n - /n Ability to follow and troubleshoot recipes/menu items with little or no difficulty /n /n - /n Ability to efficiently set up and maintain workstation /n /n - /n Ability to demonstrate the outlet style of cuisine through food tasting and preparation /n /n - /n Ability to assist Chef with maintaining accurate inventory levels /n /n - /n Ability to handle average amounts of prep work and work 2-3 stations with little or no difficulty and minimal assistance /n /n - /n Ability to work with position, supportive attitude, skill, speed and cleanliness /n /n - /n Ability to exhibit proper food handling procedures in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations and adhere to all Servsafe guidelines. /n /n /n Job Demands: /n /n - /n Based on operational need, (including days, evenings, weekends and holidays) the working schedule may include up to 40 hours per week /n /n - /n Flexible schedule required, including days, evenings, split shifts, weekends and holidays /n /n - /n Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time and ability to lift at least 40 pounds /n /n - /n Must be comfortable working in temperature variations /n /n /n Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. /n Hershey Entertainment and Resorts is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
