Brown's Orchards' Bakery is looking for individuals who are interested in working in an award winning bakery as a part of an enthusiastic team. Our bakery is well known in Southern York County, especially for our sugar cakes and decorated cakes. We are looking for motivated individuals who have an interest in the baking field or learning more about commercial baking in general. Successful applicants will be ones who have a positive and inquisitive attitude and are willing to take on multiple tasks at once. Tasks change daily, but one can expect to be mixing up batter for our cakes, mixing dough for cookies, traying a variety of items to go into the oven, and preparing items to go out onto the floor. Responsibilities: - Ensure proper amounts of ingredients being added to mixtures - Following all safety procedures and practices - Keeping on task with variety of responsibilities - Maintain a friendly demeanor with peers Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years of age due to age restrictions on bakery equipment - Must be able to stand for 8 hours at a time - Must be able to follow directions and independently complete tasks after training - Must be able to lift up to 30lbs - Must have knowledge of all food safety practices and procedures - Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow staff members
