Job Description:

The MY Work Initiative is a collaborative program lead by OVR staff between OVR, Local Education Agencies (LEAs), local government and non-profits. The program provides work experience to students with disabilities within their local communities and a benefit to the community by providing extra help during summer months to accomplish projects like community beautification, children's programming and customer service. This program runs 4-8 weeks to serve students with disabilities working 25-35 hours per week.A worksite trainer teaches general job tasks to students and provides supervision at a worksite. Supervises the student at the worksite to ensure they are meeting expectations of the business and have the supports necessary to be successful.A. Supervises the student(s) at the worksite to ensure they are meeting expectations of the business and have the supports necessary to be successful.B. Teaching and reinforcing skills.C. Setting work schedule for students.D. Complete both a midway report and a final report, upon completion of the program, for each student.E. Teaching students how to organize and complete assigned work tasks.F. Monitors up to four students at one time during a work shift to ensure the student's and the employer's needs are being met.G. Represents Goodwill Keystone Area in a professional manner to all customers, including student, family members, service professionals and the business community. Presents self as an appropriate role model.H. Promotes an environment of workplace safety by training and informing others regarding safety standards/precautions. Monitors safety and takes corrective action. Assures that regulatory safety requirements are adhered to.I. Communicates progress, problem, and concerns to the Youth Services staff and Youth Services Manager.Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field; or a combination of education and experience that enables individual to meet job expectations, standards and goals.
  • Experience in job placement services and supports is preferred.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
      • Ability to communicate effectively.
        • Ability to work maturely with confidential information.
          • Must possess neat and professional appearance.
            • Must complete and successfully pass Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance.
