Join us in creating a sustainable future and becoming a protector of tomorrow!Description:The responsibilities of the Field Supervisor, reporting to Covanta Field Services Manager, include, but are not limited to, the safe and efficient Outage Maintenance of the Overlay Outage Team during their assigned shift.The Field Supervisor supervises personnel assigned to his/her shift and directs their actions as necessary.During the period of his/her assigned shift, the Field Supervisor will monitor and locally Supervise, as necessary, the outage scopes, Pressure Part replacements and other as found work that are common to the outages. He will also routinely tour the other areas of the plant and oversee the activities of his/her maintenance crafts.In the event of emergencies or unusual operations, the Field Supervisor will direct or if necessary, personally perform the required operations or corrective actions as well as coordinate the activities of all personnel involved. The Field Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is properly cleared and tagged in accordance with proper plant procedure. The Field Supervisor will perform these duties, as well as other duties, as directed by supervisory personnel. During nighttime hours, weekends, and holidays, the Field Supervisor assumes responsibility for the crews wellbeing.Requirements:The position of Field Supervisor requires at least five (5) years' experience in power or resource recovery plant operations including shift and hands-on supervisory experience with high-pressure boilers. A high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read and understand instructions, operational, training, safety, and health related materials and work rules is required. Good oral and written communications skill is required.Liaising with BRE and project management teams to ensure that the project design is accurate before work commences.Managing the work schedule and timecards for the staff.Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to.To perform in this position the Field Supervisor must be able to react to and manage unusual or emergency conditions and be in good physical condition in terms of mobility, hearing and vision.Covanta is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
