Job Description Job Description TechOp Solutions is seeking a
Senior Professional with outstanding communication skills (oral and
written), strong analytical and writing capabilities, and deep
subject matter expertise to support a high-profile federal
compliance program. The ideal candidate will bring proven
leadership experience, a strong working knowledge of export
regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, OFAC), They will be a critical
thinker and proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced,
mission-driven environment, demonstrating the ability to lead
projects independently while also contributing effectively as part
of a collaborative team. Serve as the subject matter expert for a
team of analysts conducting export compliance reviews under ITAR,
EAR, OFAC, and related federal regulations. Export Control SME is
expected to have extensive knowledge and experience in hard
sciences with a broad ability to extrapolate their expertise from
one science field to another. Experience with the ITAR and/or EAR
is required; at a minimum the position requires the ability to
understand technical parameters of items/technologies contained in
the ITAR’s USML and the EAR’s ECCNS and provide recommendations to
the government as to whether and how they would be export
controlled. Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements
from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely
complex programs. Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and
expertise to program and project staff. Provides detailed analysis,
evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization
development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or
mission critical challenges/issues; Consults with client to define
need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and
analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. Performs
additional duties as assigned. Requirements A minimum of 10 years
of hands-on experience managing export control requirements.
Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree strongly preferred). Excellent
reading comprehension, writing and communication skills that
include the ability to effectively communicate with personnel of
various backgrounds. Strong understanding of export control
regulations and export classification processes; experience with
CFIUS-related matters is preferred. Excellent reading
