difference in National Security! Job Summary Leidos is seeking a
Mid/Sr Scrum Master to join a high-impact, multi-agency program
serving the United States Space Force (USSF) / Space Systems
Command (SSC), the United States Air Force (USAF), and other
critical mission stakeholders. The project will enhance the
resilience and cybersecurity of mission-critical communications
that protect our nation. This position is based near Columbia,
Maryland, with alternative duty locations in San Diego, California,
Englewood, Colorado, or Huntsville, Alabama. Relocation assistance
may be available for qualified candidates. The selected candidate
will support a large, fast-paced technical program that follows
DevOps best practices and leverages robust development, test, and
production environments. The program delivers system engineering,
development, test, integration, and operational support, with a
strong focus on introducing new technology and advanced
capabilities while sustaining an ongoing mission and operational
system. The Scrum Master will serve as an Agile leader on a complex
software and hardware integration effort. She/he will facilitate
one complex Agile team or multiple smaller teams and will coach and
educate team members in Scrum, Scrumban, or Kanban to ensure Agile
practices are consistently followed. The role includes removing
impediments, fostering an environment of high-performing team
dynamics, enabling continuous flow, and driving relentless
improvement. The Scrum Master will collaborate closely with team
members, other Agile Scrum Masters, and support personnel to ensure
the team’s commitments made during Program Increment (PI) Planning
are achieved. The candidate will facilitate horizontal
communication to surface impediments, lead discussions to analyze
and triage issues, and champion process improvements. Strong
attention to detail and a disciplined focus on task completion are
essential. Primary Responsibilities Facilitate self-organizing
team(s) to ensure progress is being made against Program Increment
(PI) commitments. Protect the team from scope creep during
execution of the PI. Remove impediments and coordinate on
implementing solutions. Help team members communicate, coordinate,
and cooperate. Coach, support, and enforce Scrum process and other
process rules. Ensure that the team has a clear, shared
understanding of the Definition of Done and consistently meets it.
Clearly and concisely communicate status to management. Work with
the Product Owner(s) to review and prioritize features. Lead and
facilitate Agile ceremonies to include Sprint Planning and Sprint
Reviews to include demos, Sprint Retrospectives, and PI Planning.
Work with Product Owner(s) and System Engineers to develop User
Stories to meet the Feature acceptance criteria. Maintain and
generate information radiators for the teams. Collect and share
team metrics with the team, determine when new metrics are needed,
and develop improvements in metrics. Coach teams on Agile and Scrum
principles with the goal of continuous improvement. Observe team
dynamics, recognize strengths and weaknesses of individual team
member contributions, and coach the team as a whole to drive
improvements in productivity. Promote teamwork to achieve Sprint
goals. Lead teams towards Agile maturity. Experiment with various
ideas to improve delivery, including pair-programming and
cross-functional training. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s
degree from an accredited college or university and at least 8
years of relevant work experience. Additional relevant experience
may be substituted for a degree. At least 5 years of recent
experience working as a Scrum Master for a software development or
similar technical team, preferably as a full time Scrum Master.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or similar
agile project management certification (PMI-ACP). Significant,
hands-on experience using agile project management tools (e.g.
Jira, VersionOne, Rallye, IBM RTC). Hands-on experience working as
a technical contributor (i.e. software developer, system engineer,
test engineer, etc.) on a large program. Must have excellent
written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Must have excellent
organizational and time management skills. Must have excellent
interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working
relationships and interface professionally with peers and
leadership, including developers, engineers, testers, customer
points of contact, and company management. Clearance Required: U.S.
Citizenship with a Active or Current TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with or in military
Satellite Communications (SATCOM) organizations such as United
States Air Force (USAF), United States Space Force (USSF), or
another Agency. Experience working with Public Key Infrastructure
(PKI)/ key management programs and technologies. Experience working
with large software systems including hardware integration and
test. Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical
development teams. Experience using SAFe as the agile development
methodology. Experience using Kanban as a means to improve flow on
support teams. Experience applying test automation, test-driven
development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to

posting date as listed above. Pay Range: Pay Range $92,300.00 -
$166,850.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general
guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
