POSITION SUMMARY: The position is responsible for the development, coordination, and support of internal and vendor financial applications, Facets testing and report development support, PC and IT liaison support, IT Security requests, and financial report development tasks. The position also supports the departmental website. The position also maintains monthly financial application processing for commission payment and stop loss processing. This includes application documentation and user training. In addition, the incumbent represents the department on project teams and task forces and recommends efficient and effective uses for the department's technology. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Management IT or related field plus 3+ years of directly related financial work experience or a minimum of 3 years involved in analyzing, designing and supporting financial, Microsoft office and vendor financial applications. Must be able to develop reports utilizing Microsoft Office, SAS, Crystal and other corporate reporting tools; design/create/support end user applications pertaining to financial transaction processing; and exchange data with business associates and other internal systems. Proficiency in Oracle, Cost and Budget and Facets is needed. This professional must have excellent verbal and written communication skills for interpreting/presenting specific user needs to various department teams. Requires the ability to support and process end user security requests and the internal IT security staff. Also required: Knowledge of database and application design techniques and methodologies for Microsoft Access and Excel support; report development tools (e.g. Crystal, Insight, and SAS); financial concepts; and internal claim/billing systems.
