Job Description:

As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will manage the Quality Assurance Program at this 200-person manufacturing facility. Through leadership of our Quality department, you will play a fundamental role in upholding Plastipak’s standard of excellence and exceeding customer expectations. You Will: Formulate and maintain Quality Control objectives and coordinate these objectives with the Production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs Uphold ISO compliance and maintaining quality and safety programs, insuring applicable programs are sustainable and effective (i.e. GMP, OSHA, HACCP, etc.) Govern Quality Control through internal and external audits, data analysis and reporting, documentation and other due diligence Champion Continuous Improvement Team, and providing guidance and oversight to customers and leadership team Serve as primary contact between the customer and production facility (i.e. serves as the voice of the customer regarding all quality related activities) Manage a team 10 Quality Assurance team members and support a facility operating 24x7 Serve as a member of the Site Steering Committee, comprised of the site functional leaders You Have: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (packaging or plastics preferred) Minimum of five (5) years of relevant Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment Functional knowledge of statistical process controls and manufacturing operations Proficiency with statistical software application, such as Minitab Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills at the level appropriate to represent Plastipak to customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and executives As a Plastipak Associate, you receive a benefits package offering the following: Wellness Programs Health Insurance Coverage, including Medical, Dental & Vision EAP, Employee Assistance Program Life Insurance Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Disability Insurance: Short-Term & Long-Term Accidental Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Hospital Indemnity Insurance 401(k) Plan, with Company Matching Contribution & Profit Sharing feature Paid Time Off - 80 hours within 1st year & subsequent increases Paid Company Holidays Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account Caregiving via Care.com Pet Insurance Tuition Assistance Program Sons and Daughters Scholarship Program Travel Assistance Employee Discount Programs *Some benefits are subject to eligibility requirements Plastipak is an Equal Opportunity Employer In order to process your job application, Plastipak collects and stores the personal information that you submit via this website.
