Job Description:

Summary: The sanitor is the primary employee responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the facility's processing equipment and for performing the dry pick-up and trash removal during facility's production period. The sanitor is also responsible for performing the janitor's functions if needed / required Job Function Statements Essential Functions: * Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of the processing equipment.* Using chemical solutions to help kill microorganisms and make cleaning easier.* Working in cold, wet, conditions.* Lifting and dumping of 50 pounds.* Lifting and dumping of 70 pounds with assistance.* Sanitation paperwork.* Using and utilizing all required PPE.* Inspections.* Perform other duties as required or assigned. (FEX retains the right to change or amend the job duties at any time) Required Qualifications/Skills: The ideal candidate should: * Posses knowledge, training and aptitude on the basic 7 steps of sanitation.* Posses the ability to read and interpret documents (in English) such as safety rules, product specifications, etc.* Be capable of working overtime, including weekends and holidays as required.* Be capable of working hours and shifts dictated by Sanitation Supervisor and Assistants.* Be capable of meeting all attendance requirements.* Be capable of meeting all required testing frequencies (detailed, fast-paced work).* Be capable of standing for long periods of time.* Be capable of climbing ladders and stairs, assuming awkward positions including standing, kneeling, reaching, laying, bending, lifting, etc.* Be capable of operating and cleaning all equipment located in the facility. Other Desired Qualifications/Skills: * Basic computer knowledge (i.e. Word, Excel) Experience: N/A Education/Training: * High School diploma or GED
