You'll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth. Our System Architecture team helps build customisable specific system solutions that enhance PwC's system capabilities to appropriately serve all client needs. As part of the team, you'll use enterprise architecture across application areas to build delivery models that map PwC capabilities to business needs outlined by clients.

8 year(s) of progressive roles leading IT architecture and engineering designs and domains.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in IT design recommendations, including the following areas:

  • Architectural design and application delivery;
  • IT business processes and frameworks;
  • Protection of intellectual property, disaster recovery planning and adherence to SDLC as well as COBIT, CMMI, PMM4, and ITIL;
  • Architectural domain knowledge including cloud application architecture;
  • IT business processes and frameworks including application brokering, automatic resource provisioning, allocation and deallocation of resources, automatic deployment of application components, scheduling and load balancing, migration planning and modernization strategies;
  • Business acumen that can interpret and translate goals into technical specifications, delivering thought leadership of specific technologies and driving technology change; and
  • Business knowledge and interpersonal skills to build, maintain and influence relationships with senior leaders.

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in strategic IT including the following areas:

  • Leveraging business and domain acumen to interpret and translate architecture plans to business plans of the enterprise;
  • Leading architectural and engineering reviews of proposed IT investments/solutions to determine the strategic alignment and technical soundness;
  • Providing technical recommendations to senior leaders to assist the decisions on proposed IT investments/solutions;
  • Working on abstract concepts and leading projects with strategic significance involving complex variables;
  • Offering seasoned advice on application solutions including assisting with planning and architectural design, development, resolution of technical issues, and application rationalization;
  • Overseeing and establishing delivery of project initiatives;
  • Building trusting and influential relationships at all levels and engaging with vendors and third parties as appropriate;
  • Assessing the viability and feasibility of 3rd party solutions to meet business goals;
  • Collaborating with other Architects and Developers to provide technical design guidance to align with strategy and applicable technical standards;
  • Working independently to evaluate and make strategic decisions that will address specific technology design needs;
  • Owning and driving thought leadership to influence their sphere of technology in the use of innovation to advance business capabilities;
  • Advising and influencing leaders on trends that could potentially affect the success of a function or business area;
  • Understanding emerging technologies to market these technologies to business leadership and convey possibilities for new ways of working;
  • Assembling concepts and communications appropriate for specific audiences at all staff levels;
  • Developing, maintaining and participating in IT Governance processes;
  • Promoting a culture of innovation by continuously seeking opportunities for improvement within role, processes, team and the IT organisation as a whole;
  • Providing coaching and technical mentoring; and
  • Keeping abreast of enterprise architecture practices and trends.
