The role of the Enterprise Solutions UPMC GI/ET/SE Account
Manager is to maintain and grow Olympus' current contracted
business as well as to maintain and grow Olympus' non-contract
businesses while seeking strategic contracting positions within
UPMC facilities. This position will be responsible for executing
customized UPMC strategies and solutions that will result in
desired agreements with UPMC and achieve stated objectives.
- Contribute to the development of customized sales strategies
that result in higher sales results for both contracted and
non-contracted GI/ET/SE products.
- Execute all contracts, sales strategies and initiatives in a
highly collaborative and orchestrated fashion.
- Contribute to the development of Coalition Maps that identifies
all influential UPMC Stakeholders with an emphasis on voting
- Develop excellent relationships with all local/facility level
UPMC Stakeholders (e.g., Physicians, OR Directors, etc.) within
- Manage price within UPMC with a high degree of internal
transparency and legitimacy based upon volume, market share/revenue
commitments, length of agreement, breadth of portfolio, etc.
- Maintain a high level of expertise regarding Olympus GI/ET/SE
products and solutions as well as how our clinical and economic
outcomes create a strategic advantage.
- Work in collaboration with the Enterprise Solutions UPMC AVP to
develop and implement territory business plans designed to achieve
sales quota in territory.
- Perform Quarterly Business Reviews with customers that have
agreements to ensure contract compliance and seek new opportunities
- Complete and submits all administrative responsibilities
accurately and on time (CRM, SFDC, expense reports, and PTO).
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 2 years Field Based Sales Experience (preferably in
- MBA a plus
- Previous experience selling directly to UPMC is preferred
- Excellent understanding of hospital supply chain
- Clinical operating room experience or medical device sales
experience with documented performance is preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge.
- Previous experience selling multiple Business Unit
categories/disease states preferred.
