Faulkner Automotive Group is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Service Advisor to join our team! Faulkner is a place you can establish a career and grow with the organization. While automotive experience is a plus, it is not required! As a Service Advisor, you are the first point of contact for all customers bringing their vehicle in for service. It is your job to greet the customer and take them through the repair process in a smooth, professional manner! The process begins by doing a walk around of the vehicle, gathering vehicle information and listening to the customer explain any issues so you can better understand the problem. Once the technician properly diagnoses the issue, it is the Service Advisors job to explain these findings to the customer, as well as estimate the cost and time needed for repair. It is important for the Advisor to translate these findings into language that the customer can easily understand. Advisors also promote any additional services, repairs or parts that may assist with the overall performance of their vehicle. Follow up is key! It is essential to keep the customer involved and up-to-date on the status of their vehicle during the entire repair process. The typical schedule for a Service Advisor is Monday through Friday, plus 1-2 Saturdays a month. Become part of the Faulkner Family and join our team! Job Responsibilities Ensure that customers receive considerate, prompt, and effective service Serve as a liaison between technicians and clientele Greet customers and schedule service appointments Ability to communicate exceptionally to technicians and customers Understand automotive language to effectively resolve problems Handle administrative and customer relations aspects of the service department Requirements Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid drivers license High School Diploma, Vocational/Technical School graduate or equivalent Minimum of 2 years vehicle repair or service experience Commitment to excellent customer service High productivity while maintaining high quality work Exceptional communication skills both oral and written Ability to understand manufacturers specifications ADP Experience a plus Selected candidate must be able to perform all job functions that require bending, standing, lifting, and reaching.
