We are in the process of retooling and training for a digital transformation at the agency. Our managers and supervisors are progressive and forward thinking. The team continuously works to improve IT Services Management and establish a continual improvement process ethos by making small changes to realize improvements faster, with the end goal of supporting our customers better. Over the next several years we will be shifting our workloads to enterprise cloud services, expanding our use of Power BI and Power Apps, improving our security posture, enhancing our change and incident management processes, and ramping up our training efforts. These strategies will ensure BIT staff have the skills to thrive in their career and support the agency vision and objectives. BIT is responsible for planning, coordinating, administering, and implementing information technology services in accordance with PSERS' strategic plans, goals, objectives, and priorities. There are two Divisions in BIT. The Business Application Division is responsible for application development, administering the electronic document management platform, application access, and data batch processing for the agency. The Infrastructure and Technical Services Division is responsible for administering all IT infrastructure, providing technical support, and serving as the IT Service Desk for the agency. This position will be the Division Manager for the Infrastructure and Technical Services Division. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position is responsible for the management of the Infrastructure and Technical Services Division (ITSD). Management functions include project management, work assignment, goal setting, and overseeing daily operations for three work sections: Network and Server Section, Technical Services Section, and Telecom and Mobile Section. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment. + Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. + Flexible work schedule to start as early as 6:30 am and end as late as 4:30 pm. + Telework: If you join the BIT team, you will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), reporting to PSERS headquarters as needed and for quarterly meetings.
