Since most of our products are custom, this is a unique opportunity to learn a specialized trade or to transfer your construction skills to a growing field.Although travel will typically be on the East Coast, there is an opportunity for travel to extend beyond that region, dependent on customer request and we have worked with some cool customers over the last few years!A typical week involves gathering your team and heading to a jobsite. This role is 100% travel during the week and home on weekends. Solar innovations will provide hotel accommodations, meal stipends, plus company vehicle and gas, and this role is eligible for overtime pay each week with a current average of 10-15%.The ideal candidate will have a valid drivers license, enjoy hands on work, be comfortable with all sorts of working environments and care about safety. You will also enjoy a steady paycheck and working environment. • Travel, both for day and overnight trips, to customer jobsites to install glass enclosures and/or window and door products.
• Interpret blueprints and follow procedures in accordance with installation manuals to limit unnecessary rework.
• Perform finishing details and system caulking with limited supervision, ensuring quality and speed surpass departmental standards.
• Perform brake metal adjustments in the field, as needed.
• Operate mobile equipment, such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and boom lifts, under the supervision of the Crew Leader.
• Perform limited vehicle driving responsibilities, typically in non-DOT vehicles
• Consistently follow departmental procedures regarding expense reimbursements, timekeeping, etc.Qualifications
  • Previous experience in construction, carpentry, remodeling, and/or home building; related education (i.e. trade school) experience will also be accepted.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
  • Ability to travel, both for day trips and overnight trips (typically 3 - 4 overnights in a workweek)
  • Valid Driver s License with acceptable Driving Record.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Experience with similar products (Glass Structures and/or Windows & Doors)
    • Experience with glass products
    • Previous installation experience in residential or commercial industries
