MBS Solutions has the immediate need of a CNC Machine Operator on the 3rd Shift, in the York, PA Area.
JOB TITLE CNC Machine Operator

INDUSTRY Aluminum Specialist and Manufacturing; Extruding

PAY RATE $18+/hr

LOCATION:
North York/ York, PA Area

SHIFT: 3rd SHIFT: 11PM 7AM - Sunday Thursday ** Potential for OT. **

  POSITION SUMMARY:
  The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for The CNC operation and production in order to meet customer requirements. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brake presses and punch presses that cut, shape, and bend aluminum pieces, etc. by performing the following but not limited to duties.
  
  ESSENTIAL DUTIES - RESPONSIBILITIES: (Includes but not limited to the following) Primarily responsible for the operation of the CNC machining centers within the Fab Shop, with some additional work on other production equipment as necessary. Receives assignments and job duties from shop foreman or supervisor.Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.Performs Set-Up, Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.Advises supervisor of any new tooling needed for new programs and proper care and basic maintenance of tooling and equipment.Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.; Gets first and last pieces of material inspected for quality purposes.Complete all paperwork associated with fabricated pieces.Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.Assists other machine operators to set up machine, and stack, mark, and pack finished workpieces.Reports defects or problems to shift supervisor. Performs inspection and maintains quality standards. Assists with maintaining a neat and orderly plant, insuring aisleways are kept clear. Performs general housekeeping duties as directed.Performs other duties as assigned.
  QUALIFICATIONS: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Software Experience: Requires previous experience with CNC Programming software.Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED requiredLanguage Skills: Ability to read blueprints. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to use measuring devices including precise measuring devices and basic such as tape measures or rulers.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:The employee is required to work a scheduled 8-hour shiftThe employee will be regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will regularly lift and or move up to 50lbs.The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
