Management Applications, Inc., a leading provider of Managed Services is seeking Program Staff for a County Transit Agency in Virginia.Job Application Instructions:THE TITLE OF THE POSITION APPLIED TO MUST BE LISTED AT THE TOP OF YOUR RESUME. We will NOT consider your application without the REQUIRED minimum salary requirements.BackgroundThe County is planning to undertake an extensive transit operations improvement program over the next five to seven years including over $20M in operations improvements. The following types of transportation operations projects, collectively the "Program" are being planned:As a result of programming being developed in the County Fiscal Years 2017- 2026 Transit Development Plan, operations are expected to expand substantially. This will require assistance in developing and enhancing associated transit technology as well as bus stops and transit stations. Growth in services beyond the fifty-bus peak requirement will require a thorough understanding of transit operations, service planning, management, and federal and state requirements.Complying with expected Federal Transit Administration regulations regarding asset management and maintaining a state of good repair of transit facilities and equipment will be a key focus for the County. Associated tasks will include maintenance and snow removal, analysis of rehabilitation and replacement requirements, updating and maintaining the transit asset inventory, and monitoring contractor maintenance of County-owned equipment.Projects using technology to enhance transit operations, passenger information and to identify and enhance safety and security. Specific projects include bus video cameras, real time passenger information displays, business intelligent system and transit signal priority. The projects involve planning, design and implementation/construction activities. As these major and smaller projects move forward, the County will organize a management team to develop and manage each project.These projects will need to be closely managed in order to ensure that the work being undertaken meets all the applicable requirements. Some of the projects are being funded with federal and state funding and must meet the federal and state requirements related to project management, reporting and compliance. Assistance is needed to manage the implementation of the projects, including developing and executing a project management plan, developing and tracking project budgets and schedules, preparing specifications and work scopes for procurements, overseeing contractors undertaking design, testing, construction and construction management, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, assisting with community outreach, maintaining organized project files, and preparing reports for the County Board, funding agencies and the public.Positions

  • Transit Provider Coordination Manager Transit Provider Coordination Manager (TCPM) shall coordinate the planning and policy activities of Metrorail and Metro Bus services for Arlington County as well as act as the liaison between the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and Arlington County Transit Bureau and Division of Transportation. This position shall also act as liaison regarding transit planning and policy between the Arlington County Transit Bureau and Division of Transportation and the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC) and committees overseeing transit services on I-66 and I-395. The liaison duties shall include advising the Director of Transportation and the Transit Bureau Chief as well as Arlington County Board members.
  • Bus Stop and Street Operations Coordinator Bus Stop and Street Operations Coordinator shall oversee Transit and Metro Bus use of transit corridors and bus bays at transit and Metrorail stations to facilitate smooth flow and excellent customer service. This position shall also be responsible for operations coordination with all other public and private transit operators, including private shuttle, which operate in the County and request use of County curb space and bus stops.
  • Project Manager (2 positions) The Project Manager (PM) shall serve as the County's representative to manage the planning, design and implementation/construction of County transit projects. The PM will act as a project liaison between various County departments to ensure that all project activities are in support of the overall project goals.
  • Transit Technology Operations Specialist Transit Technology Operations Program Specialist shall manage the operations, maintenance and use of transit technology for the County's transit bus operations, STAR call center, management information, security, and customer information, and transit facilities in accordance with the Transit Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Master Plan and Transit Bureau procedures.Future PositionsThe County may expand service levels to meet the County's needs and demands.
