The Village at Penn State - located in State College, PA, is one of the area's premiere continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) and currently has ONE full-time opening for a *Server/ Wait Staff *position.

*Schedule Details*
* Full Time position of 35-40 hours per week
* 10 hour shifts - approx. 10a - 7:45p, with a 2-hour midday break.
* Primarily a Mon. - Fri. work schedule with occasional weekends.
* Pay periods are every 2 weeks (or bi-weekly)

*Job Responsibilities:*
* Review resident menus & prepare to serve, prior to each meal (lunch and evening meals Mon - Sat. - Sundays are brunch only)
* Collaborate & coordinate with the Host & other Servers prior to each meal service time
* Display a pleasant, friendly attitude, while being professional & courteous.
* Demonstrate knowledgeable of menu offerings, as well as daily alternatives being offered.
* Maintain clean & sanitary work stations, as well as an organized work area during meal service.
* Perform table set up prior to each meal, as well as table and dining room area clean up after meal times.
* Work effectively with all other dining staff & focus on efficient daily communication, to stay abreast of on-going resident changes.
* Attend in-service trainings and assist with special events with catering services, when applicable.

*Requirements*
* High school graduate or GED preferred
