The Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. has its mission to

out of specific challenges faced by and unique to these agencies.
Our primary areas of focus are: Architecture/Engineering (A/E)
Services, Defense Program, Design/Build, Classified, and
Responsible for the execution of assigned HVAC, mechanical, and
plumbing design tasks on Federal government projects within given
schedule and budget. Utilizes knowledge and skill set to analyze
and provide solutions for client's needs. Collaborates with other
disciplines and clients to provide coordinated construction
documents. Asks questions and challenges the status quo when
--- Ensuring project compliance with applicable codes, standards,
and client specific criteria.
--- Work on load and equipment sizing calculations
--- Create plumbing riser diagrams and system P&IDs using smart
--- Create energy models using Trane Trace 700
--- Review of submittals and shop drawings
--- Participate in the RFI process
--- Site observation
--- Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team
members on projects
--- Participate in internal and external design meetings
--- Promotes quality within the project/ group
--- Participates in process improvement activities as assigned
--- Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and
exchange project information necessary for design development
Assigned to projects for U.S. Government Agency/Department clients.
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
--- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
from an accredited program.
--- Minimum of 2 years related work experience
--- Proven self-starter
Preferred design experience related to any of the following subject
--- Plumbing systems design experience
--- HVAC systems design experience
--- Revit experience
--- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a
recognized accredited program in their home country or the country
in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 3 years related
work experience All applicants must be able to complete

drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with
any applicable laws and regulations.
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
